The Lodge
Location
Located in the small fishing village of Pelican, Alaska, the only way to reach Apex Lodge is by boat or float plane. Just on the edge of town, we are far enough away from everything to afford privacy, but close enough it is a short walk to any of the town's attractions. Perched just above the quiet waters of Lisianski Inlet we are afforded unimpeded and unparalleled views of the peaks and waterfalls that line the fjord we are located in. While beautiful views are important, it is nowhere near as paramount as the fishing. Most of our fishing is done around Yakobi Island, with the entire entirety of it’s 82 sq miles being National Wilderness. There is no development and very little pressure put upon our target species. We truly feel this is a very special location, and are excited to share it with others and to provide you with an unmatched Alaskan fishing experience. (Images are current as of 3/19/2019)
The Guest Rooms
Our five staterooms come with dual twin xl beds that can be converted into a single king. Each stateroom room has its own full size bathroom. Large windows provide plenty of natural lighting and take full advantage of our incredible location. Wifi is provided free of charge so you can stay in touch with loved ones back home too.
Dining Room/ Lounge
Also taking advantage of our breathtaking view, our dining room is the lodge’s centerpiece. With comfy seating around our spacious dining table. This is where we will gather in the mornings and evenings to eat some of the most incredible food you will ever experience. Prepared by our very own in house chef.
With a couple comfy recliners and a large couch encompassing a large flat screen television, the lounge is where you can kick back at the end of the day, and enjoy telling everyone about your fishing adventures.
A large, covered, deck also surrounds most of the building so you can be outside, taking everything in, without getting drenched.
Breakfast
In the mornings, coffee will be waiting for you in the lounge. The Chef will start taking made to order breakfast starting at 5 am so you will have plenty of time to eat and get ready for fishing.
Lunch
A table filled with various meats, spreads, toppings and bread will be laid out before breakfast so you can create your sandwich the way you want it. Fruit, granola bars, candy, chips, cookies, soda, water, and coffee will also be provided aboard the vessel to make sure you have plenty of energy to crank on fish throughout the day.
Dinner
Returning to the lodge around 5pm. An appetizer will be waiting for you to tide you over until dinner. which will begin at 6:30. Dinner will consist of locally caught seafood as well as some of the best smoked and BBQ meats you will ever taste. Every meal will include a different seafood as a appetizer or main dish so you can sample different ideas of what to create with your catch.
